In recent times the world has been led to believe that the terror in which large numbers of the Burmese people live has been lessened.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

While it is true that various western politicians have visited Burma and that Aung San Suu Kyi has won seats in parliament, starvation, rape and pillage still remain the order of the day for many thousands being persecuted by the evils of the junta.
